We have volunteer programs which give community members an opportunity to serve their communities. Our Senior Volunteer Program provides senior adult men and women the opportunity to volunteer their time to assist CHP employees in the performance of their duties. Those services include: Teach driver safety to seniors in the community, direct traffic at special events, work with local schools, assist with the front office and participate in ride-alongs with CHP officers. The Mother Lode Food Project is a completely volunteer run organization that works to ensure local food banks have a consistent supply of donations throughout the year, not just during holidays. Every even month, volunteers drop off a grocery bag full of food at one of many drop-off points throughout Tuolumne, and neighborhood coordinators then deliver those bags to the ATCAA food bank. ATCAA then distributes the food to many different organizations and populations. The goal is to make participation and distribution as easy as possible for everybody.
