About:
The American Red Cross supports the community by providing free disaster preparedness education along with installing smoke alarms for free when clients may not otherwise be able to have one. We set up and run evacuation shelters in times of large disasters. We visit and provide resources and support when an individual/family experiences a home fire. We also provide support for veterans and active duty members of the military.
Volunteer Needs:
Client facing - provide support and comfort in times of disaster, strategize and provide guidance toward needed resources, coordinate shelters, support team tasks to run shelters.
