Sonora Chamber of Commerce

About:

The Sonora Chamber of Commerce is a membership organization representing the community of Sonora.  Our goal is to be a unified voice of our diverse business community; recognized as a valuable resource of business advocacy, respected for our commitment to promoting commerce while preserving our history, culture and the cherished quality of life of in Sonora. We are dedicated to raising awareness of the Sonora area and Tuolumne County area as a tourism destination.   We are also committed to listening to the concerns of all segments of the greater Sonora community to promote dialogue and effective problem solving to ensure the continued growth of our marketplace for the future.

Volunteer Needs:

Our volunteers need to be civic minded individuals who enjoy giving back to their community. The Sonora Chamber hosts many events in the City of Sonora such as Christmas Town Sonora, Trick or Treat Street & Spooky Town Park, 2nd Saturday Art Night, Concerts at Coffill Park, El Campo de Sonora Multi Cultural event, the Downtown Sonora Christmas Parade and monthly Chamber mixers.

We need help with decorating (setting up & breaking down) of Christmas Town along with our holiday events like Gingerbread House Making with Santa & Mrs. Claus, the Holly Jolly Wagon rides, DJ Santa Dance etc.

We are also looking for security for our concerts, and volunteers in the staging area of the Christmas Parade.

The first weekend in June is our second annual Multi Cultural: El Campo de Sonora in Courthouse Park. We will need help setting up and the breaking down of the event.

We will have sign up sheets along with task descriptions at our booth for all of our events.
