Camp Tuolumne Trails
Description
Camp Tuolumne Trails (CTT) is an overnight summer camp program hosted by the Jerry and Paula Baker Foundation. CTT offers summer camp programs for individuals with disabilities of all ages, creating space for safe, accessible recreation in the outdoors. CTT offers programs to individuals with a variety of needs. 43% of campers have physical disabilities including cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, paralysis, visual impairment, deaf/HoH, epilepsy, and genetic conditions. 57% of campers have intellectual disabilities including autism, down syndrome, intellectual/developmental disabilities (IDD), among others. Many campers have combined diagnoses that make it difficult for them to find outdoor programs that fit their needs.
CTT proudly serves individuals of all ages by offering a variety of programming including family, youth, and adult camps with no age maximum to ensure that no camper “ages out”. We aim to become a consistent program for campers to attend throughout their lifetime.
Volunteer Tasks
Seasonal summer volunteer tasks include: program facilitation and support, camper support in supervised activities, kitchen/meals support.
In the off-season, volunteers may be tasked with specific work projects, kitchen support for our outdoor education groups, or assist during planning or special events.
