Catholic Charities of Stockton
Description
About:
For over 85 years, Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Stockton has provided social services to people in San Joaquin, Stanislaus, Calaveras, Tuolumne, Alpine, and Mono counties. We believe in the inherent dignity of each person and create services that support families and enhance the quality of life for all members of the community regardless of race, age, or religion.
Today, Catholic Charities administers direct social services and advocacy through a variety of programs for the most vulnerable and under represented citizens of our communities. While we serve the Diocese of Stockton region, we are not directly funded by the Diocese or the Parishes associated with the Diocese of Stockton. As a 501(c)3 non-profit our programs and services are funded through grants, foundations, and the generosity of our communities.
Volunteer Needs:
The Ombudsman Program relies on dedicated volunteers to help advocate for the quality of care & identify and resolve concerns on behalf of residents living in long term care facilities in Tuolumne County.
Be part of the Listos California effort to be ready yourself and others. Help us spread the word to keep Californians safe. Listos California Program provides resources for disaster preparedness, response, and recovery. Every Californian, regardless of age, ability, income or language, deserves culturally competent education to prepare for wildfire, flood, earthquake, drought, heatwave and other disasters.
