Love Tuolumne County is a city partner with Love Our Cities, an organization founded in 2009 to address problems in cities that great volunteers could help solve.  Since its inception, Love Our Cities has garnered over 100 city-partners and brought together 248,000 volunteers who have donated over A MILLION volunteer hours; with a value of over $33.5 million dollars in service  (independentsector.org)!!

Love Tuolumne County’s mission is to promote community-wide volunteerism through collaboration among groups and leaders. Our major event sponsorship comes from Adventist  Health Sonora, Sonora Area Foundation and Front Porch. Our second County-wide volunteer day was held in 2022 and was a great success with over 450 volunteers coming out to  support 30+ community projects! Over 95% of volunteers said they’d “do it again”! We’d love to have you join us on the weekend of April 29/30 2023!!

Volunteer Tasks

We match volunteers up with the needs of projects around the community. This includes tasks like gardening, painting, preparing cards of encouragement, weed whacking, simple construction, trash pickup, general spruce ups, staining, pruning, painting rocks, serving or sorting food, directing traffic, the opportunities are endless!!
