Mother Lode Food Project
Description
About:
The Mother Lode Food Project in Tuolumne county is a non-stop food donor drive.
Our goal is to ensure that our neighbors-in-need have a year round
supply of food, not just during the holidays. All food stays local! Each week, buy just one extra non-perishable food item when you go shopping. Store it in our Green Bag. Every other month we’ll help you get the bag to local food pantries!
There are drop-off locations all over Tuolumne County, and in some
neighborhoods you can just leave your bag on your front porch! We currently deliver food to Interfaith, Nancy's Hope, and the Jamestown Family Resource Center.
Volunteer Needs:
- Filling a bag with food to donate every 2 months
- Collecting bags of food from neighbors
- Bringing bags of food to local food pantries
