NAMI Tuolumne County

Description

About:

NAMI Tuolumne County supports individuals with mental illness and their families. We also provide free educational programs to the general public and to specialized audiences such as law enforcement, health care workers, service organizations, etc.

We meet monthly on the 2nd Thursday of the month, 6pm,  at the Red Church hall for a potluck, educational presentation, and support groups.

In addition, we present nationally reviewed and highly effective classes concerning mental illness such as Family to Family, Peer to Peer, In Our Own Voice, and Ending the Silence.

We are 100% volunteer and receive no government funding.

Volunteer Needs:

We need Board Members who are dedicated to helping individuals with mental illness and their families. Health professionals and those with business experience are especially welcome.

In addition, we need those with computer skills, especially in e-publishing, social media (Instagram, Facebook, etc).

We can also use volunteers to help with fund raisers and general tasks.
