Description
Lions Serve. When caring people join together, roll up their sleeves and take action to make our community better, it's a beautiful thing-and an incredible feeling for everyone involved. That's Lions. Being a Lion is about leading by example, building relationships and improving the world through kindness. It's 1.4 million caring men and women serving together so they can make a lasting impact and change more lives.
Volunteer Tasks:
- Bundle Dog and Cat food for Meals on Wheels Pet Food Project
- Help with Read to Succeed Literacy Program for children
- Collect eyeglasses and Hearing Aids for Sight and Hearing Programs
- Review Scholarship applications for educational advancement at Columbia College
- Help spread the word about Hospital Equipment Lending Program
- Assist with ATCCA Green Bag Food Collection
- Fund raising activities, Lobster Dinner, Omelette breakfast, Pancake breakfast, Crab Cioppino dinner
- Assist with the Glenn Bass Run that benefits track and field students
- Assist with Student Speaker Contest that promotes thought provoking ideas and communication of same from our students
- Participate in community projects:
- highway clean up
- Christmas tree decoration and card delivery
- Thanksgiving turkey collection
- wheelbarrow raffles
- seasonal projects, as needed, that reflect our community needs.
