Mission:
Sonora Sunrise Rotary Club is a service organization in Tuolumne County that supports our community with various projects, local and international activities and fundraisers. Our Vision Statement: “To be a dynamic club with an engaged, diverse membership serving humanity through local and global projects.” Rotary is an international service club where neighbors, friends and problem solvers share ideas, join leaders and take action to create lasting change at home and abroad.Sonora Sunrise Rotary has had a long and enduring presence in Tuolumne County with community projects such as Rotary Parks; Sunrise Rotary Dog Park; the children’s mural at the main Sonora library; benches at Sonora High School; Scholarships for students attending trade or vocational schools; Support for our local Special Athletes; Field of Honor recognizing veterans and first responders; support for developmentally disabled adults; Children’s Holiday Party; Comfort Blankets provided to local law enforcement and first responders for kids affected by trauma; firewood for seniors; etc. We currently meet every Wednesday at 7a.m. (except 5th Wednesdays) at Mother Lode Job Training in Sonora.
Volunteer Needs:
All of our projects require lots of hands on help, such as serving meals; organizing and running projects and events; and helping to make a difference.
