At our Juvenile Detention Facility, we are committed to transforming young lives and equipping them with the tools needed for a brighter, more successful future. We understand the importance of positive influences and constructive activities in the developmental stages of youth, especially for those who have encountered the juvenile justice system. With this understanding at the core of our mission, we are actively seeking compassionate and patient volunteers to join our dedicated team.Our goal is to introduce these young individuals to a variety of skills that are often inaccessible in their everyday environments. By doing so, we aim to keep them engaged, reduce recidivism rates, and open doors to new opportunities. Examples of some skills include sewing, painting, music, woodworking, meditation, yoga, arts and crafts, general life skills, tutoring, and culinary skills. By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to directly influence the attitudes and futures of our residents. You will help them discover new passions, learn practical skills, and gain the confidence needed to face the world outside of the Juvenile Detention Facility. Whether you can spare a few hours a week or a day a month, your time and skills will make a substantial impact. Together, we can work towards a future where every young person at our facility has the support, care, and skills needed to write their own success story.

Volunteer Requirements:

• Minimum 18 years of age
• Attend a Volunteer Orientation Meeting (first Thursday of every month)
• Complete an application, clear a criminal background check, and fingerprinting
• Follow strict confidentiality laws related to minors
• Maintain appropriate boundaries
