Tuolumne Fire Safe Council/Firewise Communities

Description

The Tuolumne Fire Safe Council is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization formed in 2002. Our mission is to save lives and protect property through wildfire preparedness, prevention and education. The Firewise Community Program empowers homeowners to help protect their neighborhoods by providing resources to learn how to adapt to living with wildfire, while encouraging and empowering neighbors to work together to take action now to reduce their wildfire risk and prevent losses.

Volunteer Needs:

  • Homeowners to form Firewise Communities in their neighborhoods.
  • Skills to develop educational materials.
  • Photography, videography support.
  • Meeting management/facilitation skills.
  • Fuel Treatment project managers.
  • Marketing and outreach.
