Tuolumne River Trust

Description

About:

Tuolumne River Trust (TRT) is a local nonprofit dedicated to stewardship of the Tuolumne River and Greater Yosemite region. We are involved in a variety of projects along the Tuolumne River and the surrounding watershed from the headwaters to the sea.

Our Sonora office leads volunteer stewardship workdays in trail maintenance, meadow restoration, invasive plant removal, native seed collection, tree planting, river cleanups and more!

TRT is a great place to volunteer and get hands-on experience in the Natural Resources fields that looks great on a resume, our volunteer days are also a fun opportunity to get outdoors and meet new people. TRT provides in-field instruction for all volunteer workdays.

Volunteer Needs:

  • Trail maintenance (brushing and tread work)
  • Tree planting
  • Meadow habitat restoration
  • Seed collection
  • Riparian plant cuttings collection
  • River cleanups
