Help removal of invasive weed species along the Karen Bakerville Smith Memorial trail. This work will entail bending, kneeling, and carrying up to 20 pounds for short distances. Removal will involve the use of hand tools to sever roots at or below ground-level to prevent re-growth. Some species have thorns, while others are known for their ability to stick to clothing. Eliminating these invasive species from the trailside will contribute to a more enjoyable visitor experience while walking in this serene meadow environment and is the first step in treating the larger area. Please note this workday will require volunteers to hike along the trail that does have some inclines. Ages 15 and older welcome ( minors must be accompanied by an adult and have waivers signed by a parent/guardian).
