DESCRIPTION:The more dementia caregivers know about the disease\, and what to expect\, the more prepared they will be for future changes and care decisions. Join us to learn about planning for care changes\, types of respite\, long-term and residential care\, end of life options\, and moving care settings.  This program is presented in partnership between the Area 12 Agency on Aging and the Alzheimer’s Association. Additional programs are available in Calaveras and Mariposa counties.

DESCRIPTION:Join us in building Beaver Dam Type Structures! We will be doing follow-up work on our beaver dam-type structures built last season at Cottonwood Meadow. These structures have been doing great work all winter\, causing water to slow and pool\, helping restore lost wetland habitat. Help us continue to adapt these structures to maximize their benefit to the meadows hydrology – be prepared to get your feet wet and spend a full day outdoors in uneven terrain!

Invasive plants take over native habitat and degrade meadows’ natural condition; by removing them\, we help to restore these to healthy ecosystems!

DESCRIPTION:This is a retreat for women who have abuse in their past and struggle to get beyond just surviving.  Michelle Dean\, Author & Speaker and Founder of the local non-profit called WHOW (Women Helping Other Women) will be sharing her knowledge of how she overcame years of abuse as a child and 23 years in a very dysfunctional/abusive marriage.  Michelle has first hand knowledge of how abuse impacts your life in every way!\n\nDuring this retreat you will discover your strengths by completing a strengths test. Discovering what your God given talents are and learning to believe in yourself and your ability to thrive.  You will learn more about your comfort zone and why you stay stuck.
