Interfaith Community Social Services
Description
Offers basic services to those struggling in Tuolumne County. Clothing, groceries, household item, toiletries, winter heating firewood, utility assistance, legal services, myriad of community resource partners, and more. All services are free.
Volunteer Tasks
Volunteers are needed in areas of
- interviewing
- working in the pantry/grocery bags area
- home delivery of groceries
- greeters at front door
- assist with clothing selections
- assist with filling toiletry and household items requests
- firewood work crews
- and more.
Work hours are 9:3AM--1PM Monday thru Friday. All work areas have a need for volunteers. Volunteers will be trained on the job and will be required to attend an annual training for their work area(s).
Students may do their school senior or leadership community service requirements, earn extra credit or organization requirements for community service. Interview, safety, jobs, and general work ethics/mission will be required at the outset. Students must have consent from parents, teacher and/or school counselors. There will be discussion of their project, plan, time frame, etc.
