About:

The mission of Tuolumne County Department of Social Services is to provide appropriate services to individuals and families to enhance self-sufficiency. Such services include financial assistance, medical benefits, in-home care for the elderly and disabled, employment and training services, and protective services for children and adults.

Volunteer Needs:

The AmeriCorps member will work with children and families who are involved with CWS or is at-risk of CWS and/or Juvenile Court involvement. The member closely with a social worker and independently in the prevention program to provide parenting education through the Parents as Teachers model and provide resources and referral to families.
