Tuolumne County Garden Club
Description
Mission:
The Tuolumne County Garden Club meets the third Wednesday of month between September and June. We meet at the Sonora Senior Center on Greenley Road at 10AM. All are welcome to visit our meetings to hear our speakers or join in for a project that we might be doing at a meeting.
We hold plant sales twice a year to earn fund to support our community projects and our work on the National Smokey Bear/Woodsy Owl Poster Contest for grade school students. CA Arbor Day in March is a yearly project where we plant a donated tree and put in a plaque somewhere in our community when we recognize a person or organization for their work in our community.
We have field trips and speakers that educate us about garden projects or local gardening suggestions and solutions.
Come and join us. We’d love to have you.
Volunteer Needs:
- Various Garden Club projects during our club year
- The County Fair in the summer
- Support for the plant sales and Poster Contest judging sessions
- Field Trips we have each year.
