Mother Lode Wildlife Care
Description
Mission:
Mother Lode Wildlife Care is an all-volunteer non-profit public 501 (c) (3) organization dedicated to the care and rehabilitation of injured / orphaned wildlife in Tuolumne and nearby counties. We care for small mammals, including squirrels, rabbits, foxes, bats and more and native birds, including hawks, owls, songbirds, and more. We are permitted with CA Fish & Wildlife and US Fish & Wildlife. We are not government funded so rely on donations from generous community donors.
Our volunteers have the facilities and approved training to ensure that wildlife in need receives the best possible care and has the greatest chance of being released back into the appropriate habitat, capable of surviving on its own.
Volunteer Needs:
Feeding, cleaning, cage building and maintenance, newsletter, paperwork, fundraising, and reuniting wildlife.
