Catholic Charities partners with others in advocating for justice and in assisting those in need by providing help for today and hope for tomorrow.”We believe in the inherent dignity of each person and create services that support families and enhance the quality of life for all members of the community regardless of race, age, or religion. Today, Catholic Charities administers direct social services and advocacy through a variety of programs for the most vulnerable and under represented citizens of our communities. While we serve the Diocese of Stockton region, we are not directly funded by the Diocese or the Parishes associated with the Diocese of Stockton. As a 501(c)3 non-profit our programs and services are funded through grants, foundations, and the generosity of our communities.

Volunteer Needs:

Catholic Charities Ombudsman Program assists residents living in Long-Term Care skilled nursing or residential care facilities. The Ombudsman mission is to advocated for the dignity, quality-of-life, and quality-of-care for residents. Other Ombudsman services include the following: Quality of Care, Resident Rights, Advance Health Care Directive , Care plan meetings, Abuse or Neglect, Financial Exploitation, Transfer Discharges, Supporting Residential & Family Councils, Understanding Federal and, State Regulations, Access to Legal Support or Legal Referrals.
