Love Tuolumne County

Love Tuolumne County is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit, city-partner with Love Our Cities, based in Modesto, CA. Our Mission is to promote community-wide volunteerism through collaboration with private, public, faith-based, civic, and non-profit organizations.

We organize volunteer projects all year throughout the County, and hold a County-Wide Volunteer Weekend each April, to match Volunteers, Sponsors, and Community Organizations with opportunities to beautify, clean-up, improve, and benefit Tuolumne County. Our Mission is to inspire our community to love each other through connecting, participating, giving, and volunteering.

Our amazing sponsors provide funds for these projects, as many of our project hosts don't have the money needed to complete these much-needed projects. Our first County-wide volunteer event was held in April 2021, and each year since then we have been thrilled to host over 300 volunteers supporting 20+ projects!

Projects have included:

  • > Repairing and Renovating the Heaven for Kids Playground
  • > Building a garden area for the Sonora Senior Center, Interfaith, and the Little House in Groveland
  • > Sprucing up local schools including Tioga High School, Twain Harte School, Soulsbyville Elementary, Gold Rush Charter, Summerville Elementary and more
  • > Cleaning up community parks and trails such as Groveland Community Skate Park, the grounds around the Sonora Library,
  • > Partnering with local non-profits including Center for a Non-Violent Community, Lambert Center, Grandma's House, WATCH, Interfaith, the American Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity and more
  • > Partnering with other fantastic organizations such as 1PileAtATime, BlueZones, Resiliency Village, and Nancy's Hope
  • > Partnering with Activity Centers such as High Country Spots Arena, and Standard Park
  • > Partnering with trails such as the Sonora Community Trail, Dragoon Gulch, Indiginy Reserve Trail
  • > Decorating with the Columbia Cinco de Mayo team and repainting the Sonora Senior Center lunch room
  • > Cleaning up graffiti in downtown Sonora, and weed-whacking in several locations
  • > And So Much More...!

We would love to meet others who want to beautify our county, either by leading a project through their organization or non-profit, or by volunteering their time!
