Sierra Relief Foundation

Description

Mission:

Sierra Relief Foundation is a nonprofit public benefit corporation founded and led by disabled veterans committed to serving those in need throughout the Sierra Nevada region. Our mission is to provide compassionate, direct assistance to the most vulnerable members of our community through three core programs: feeding the homeless, supporting children in need, and delivering emergency relief services to families facing crisis.

Feeding the Homeless: We believe that no one in our community should go hungry. Sierra Relief Foundation provides hot, nutritious meals to homeless adults through community meal events, food distribution programs, and partnerships with local businesses. We work to restore dignity and hope to those experiencing homelessness by offering not just food, but also compassion and respect.

Supporting Children in Need: Every child deserves joy, especially during difficult times. Our toy drive programs provide gifts to underprivileged children during the holiday season and throughout the year. We also distribute school supplies, clothing, and essential items to ensure children have the resources they need to thrive.

Emergency Relief Services: The Sierra Nevada region faces unique challenges, including wildfires, winter storms, and natural disasters. Sierra Relief Foundation responds rapidly to emergencies, providing food, water, clothing, shelter supplies, and critical resources to families affected by disaster. We also assist families facing personal crises such as house fires and sudden homelessness. As a veteran-founded organization, we bring the values of service, sacrifice, and commitment to our work. We are dedicated to building a stronger, more compassionate community where everyone has access to basic necessities and the support they need to overcome hardship. Sierra Relief Foundation is neighbors helping neighbors.
