The Sonora Lions Club has been serving the Mother Lode since 1922 and is part of the largest service organization in the world, with clubs in over 200 countries with 1.4 million members. Our main focus is eyesight preservation, but we have our hand in many different areas of need around our county and the world. We are always looking for new members who have a desire to serve their community and help humanity. Come check us out at the Volunteer Fair.

Volunteer Needs:

We are looking for members who have a desire to help enrich and improve their community and its residents. We have several different areas of focus and you are likely to find a cause that you can be passionate about.

Lions International has several core causes that we concentrate on: Vision, Hunger, Diabetes, Childhood Cancer, Environment, Disaster Relief, Youth, and Humanitarian needs.

We also have many projects and programs specifically targeting special needs in our community.
