Tuolumne County Garden Club

Tuolumne County Garden Club (TCGC) promotes sustainable gardening practices and local wildlife/environmental issues. TCGC also donates funds for Columbia College Scholarship Program yearly. TCGC supports Penny Pines Plantations, a reforestation program in the Stanislaus National Forest. TCGC also promotes sharing of common gardening interests and friendship between members.

Volunteer Tasks:

Volunteers are needed to man information booths, give out information pamphlets, take donations for scholarship and Penny Pines Planations, and the Smokey Bear/Woodsy Owl Poster Contest judged yearly in June with a celebration of the winners.

Help with gardening and weeding of the Blue Star Memorial and The Demonstration Garden, in conjunction with Cal Fire.

Volunteers can suggest speakers for our monthly meetings and suggestions for field trips.
